Establish a link between your incoming flight logs and your FlyFreely RPAS.
The purpose of this is to establish a link between any new RPA and the serial number from the log file. This 'link' allows the platform to auto match the RPA using the internal (flight controller) serial number, which is recorded in all flight logs.
This action only needs to be performed once per new RPA and after this link has been established, subsequent log files will automatically be matched to the same RPA with that serial number.
There are 2 ways to do this:
For existing RPA in the FlyFreely platform
If the RPA does not exist in the FlyFreely platform
For existing RPA in the FlyFreely platform
Follow the steps below to create the initial link.
- Click on the 'Flight Logs' button on the left hand panel from the main screen.
- Under the 'Auto Matched RPA' column in the 'Assigned' tab, click on the blue word 'Assign'.
- Click 'Assign' for the correct RPA and click 'Done'.
If the button at Step 3 is greyed out and shows the word 'Assigned', this means the serial number has already been assigned to another RPA.
If an RPA has been assigned incorrectly please reach out to the support team.
A link is now established and subsequent logs will automatically be matched for this RPA.
Any new flights using this RPA will be auto matched and the flight logs will be auto assigned to the associated flight/s in the mission.
If the RPA does not exist in the FlyFreely platform
If the RPA does not exist in the platform yet (has not been added to the platform), the link can be established in a similar manner as above. This process will require more steps ie you will need to create the RPA.
This can be useful for organisations that have a large number of fleet and missed some RPA when importing to the platform.
Note: This can only occur for missions that are not pre-planned.
- Click on the 'Flight Logs' button on the left hand panel from the main screen.
- Under the 'Auto Matched RPA' column in the 'Assigned' tab, click on the blue word 'Assign'.
- Click 'Create an RPA from Flight Log'
- The create an RPA window will pop up. See How to add a remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) for instructions.
A link is now established and subsequent logs will automatically be matched to this RPA.
Any new flights using this RPA will be auto matched and the flight logs will be auto assigned to the associated flight/s in the mission.
