Meeting RPA and Remote Pilot Register Conditions (Default setup based on jurisdiction)

Follow this guide to complete the default requirements set on your registers based on your jurisdiction

This article is a guide and will use the Australian CASA requirements as the example. Other jurisdictions will have different default 'checks' or 'conditions' set up on the RPA and remote pilot registers only if applicable. The concept remains the same:

Conditions set on an RPA register ➡️ authorities need to be added to the RPA.

Conditions set on a remote pilot register ➡️ authorities need to be added to the pilot.

This article will cover the following:

Locating the registers

Locating the registers

Registers are found on the relevant Authority in the organisation admin panel.

Organisation Admin (cog icon) > Authorities > View Authority eg Remote Operators Certificate > RPA Register and Remote Pilot Register

RPA Register

Ex-Cat:

The default condition on this register is: 'RPA Registration (CASA)'.

Reminder tip 💡:

Conditions set on an RPA register ➡️ authorities need to be added to the RPA.

  • All RPA's on this register must have the 'RPA Registration (CASA)' authority added to EACH individual RPA.
  • FlyFreely is NOT linked with CASA's portal, so this is a manual entry the organisation admin needs to do to manage this register.

To satisfy this check:

  1. Click on the RPA
  2. Click Authorities & Registrations
  3. Click Edit
  4. Under 'Add Authority' dropdown search and select 'RPA Registration (CASA)'
  5. Click '+Add Authority'
  6. Enter relevant details
  7. Click Done
  8. Repeat for all RPA's on this register.

Note: This also applies to subsequent RPA's added to this register
